Ubuntu 4.10 Firefox
A very early, pre-release even, version of Firefox is bundled as the web browser.

Ubuntu 4.10 Ataxx
A Reversi clone that was eradicated in later versions, called Ataxx.

Ubuntu 4.10 GIMPUbuntu 4.10 OpenOffice
Early versions of GIMP and OpenOffice.

Ubuntu 4.10 XScreenSaver
Interestingly Ubuntu 4.10 uses xscreensaver. Even more interestingly, the extra packages are installed, save a few that are separate packages.

Ubuntu 4.10 Shutdown
Finally, shutting down Ubuntu.

Conclusion:
Ubuntu 4.10 is very primitive compared to what we have now. Ironically however it is much more usable than the new GNOME3 and Unity trash. It is interesting to go back and look at what once was.
