The Settings app got a makeover, and has more settings in it. The Control Panel is still present though, and things jump back and forth between both user interfaces for no real reason still.

Windows Update also got a slight visual overhaul, but again no real improvement.

Themes! There are more of them, and the default desktop background changes with them too, but it's still not possible to create and save your own themes apparently.

And of course as usual the sensible desktop applications still do not conform to the dark theme, even though the old high contrast themes proved it's VERY easy to make them do that.

The best part of Windows 11. You're supposed to use the start menu buttons, but Alt + F4 still brings up this old-style dialog box. I wonder how long it will stay there for?
Conclusion: I am continually shocked the world puts up with this horse crap. Maybe I guess we've passed the point where anyone cares anymore? We have to be. I think I'll be sticking with Windows 7 for the rest of eternity. |
