Wow, look at that screensaver!
Freespire, like alot of modern Linux distros, bundles xscreensaver to do the screensaver work.

As you can see, the main panel can be completely customized, even to something as insane as this.

As you can see, Freespire uses Konqueror to do the file management as it is KDE3-based.
Konqueror is a better browser than IE is, and is miles ahead of IE in terms of rendering and usability. Both are used as a file manager in their respective OS departments. As if I need to tell you which one is better...

The K Menu includes an assortment of options a typical Windows user would expect, and does pretty much everything just as Linspire had done it. Only difference is the presence of a blue-ish tint, and an overall aesthetic change. No real functionality differences.

Freespire's Help Center uses Konqueror to display the individual pages, like just about every other major OS these days does. |
