Wow, this speaks wonders for program stability. There is a terminate app option plainly visible in the K Menu. Frankly there are better ways to deal with such instability.

Like NimbleX and Linspire, the find utility defaults to matching entire filenames unless a wildcard/asterisk is specified, which is not made obvious at all, and it defaults to searching the entire system, which can and will bring up millions of meaninless results with modern operating systems like Freespire.

And finally, shutting down Freespire.
Conclusion: Freespire is a nice, sleek, and [somewhat] easy to use OS. There are quite a number of odd parts and things that don't work like they should (eg search and saving), but it is functional. It is, however, not being actively developed so it is best avoided for something with much more up-to-date packages. |
