Haiku Beta 4 Input controls
The control panels for the various input peripherals have been consolidated into a single control panel. There is also support for mice that have more than three buttons, if you're nuts enough to have one of those.

The terminal hasn't changed a whole lot, but there is now built-in emulation for the "meta" key that some older Unix programs (like Emacs) use.

Conclusion:
Lots of work has been done and continues to be done on Haiku to bring it to a final release. Hopefully it makes it there, but with as slow as things have moved I am not sure it will do so in my lifetime. It would be very nice to have an alternative to Windows and Linux on the PC, though...
