The Ubuntu Store got a slight makeover. I believe this is nothing more than the standard GNOME "Store" with an Ubuntu logo plastered on it.

The control panel hasn't changed a whole lot, and it was nice to see just the one control panel.

The help program looks to be an offline help viewer. Imagine not needing a web browser and an internet connection to get assistance.

Finally, the one part of Linux that never really changes: the terminal.

Shutting down Ubuntu 18.04.
Conclusion: The desktop isn't too much different from prior releases, which is honestly a breath of fresh air given how often and rapidly companies these days radically redesign their entire user interface with every release. Too bad about all the UI inconsistency though. |
